Our Mission
To empower NGOs and communities by providing expert fund mobilization, project implementation, and capacity building that drives lasting environmental conservation and sustainable community development.
Home/About
Blue Green Tanzania Consult is an environmental consultancy firm helping NGOs win funding and deliver conservation projects — across Tanzania's oceans, forests, and communities.

Who We Are
Based in Dar es Salaam · Field presence across Tanzania's coast · Founded 2023
Blue Green Tanzania Consult brings together expertise in marine conservation, terrestrial conservation, community empowerment, and capacity building. We work with NGOs, communities, and institutions to secure funding for environmental projects and make sure those projects are delivered with quality and accountability.
We are not a theoretical firm. We have been in the water conducting seabed surveys. We have sat with fishing communities in Mtwara and Dar es Salaam. We have written proposals that won, managed projects that delivered, and built the kind of trust with international funders that takes years to earn.
Everything we do is guided by one simple belief — that conservation only works when it is funded properly, implemented honestly, and owned by the people closest to the environment.
Work With UsWhat Drives Us
Three commitments that shape every engagement we take on.
To empower NGOs and communities by providing expert fund mobilization, project implementation, and capacity building that drives lasting environmental conservation and sustainable community development.
A world where nature and people flourish together.
We start with listening. We understand what an NGO or community needs, identify the right funding opportunity, design a strong proposal, and then stay through the entire implementation — making sure the work reaches the people and places it was meant for.

Our Values
Six commitments that guide our methods, partnerships and deliverables.
We are honest and transparent in everything we do — with our clients, our partners, and the communities we serve.
Conservation is not just our work — it is our commitment. We genuinely care about the ocean, the forests, and the land.
The people living closest to nature are the most important actors in protecting it. We make sure their voices lead.
We deliver quality work, on time, every time — whether it is a funding proposal or a field survey.
No single organisation can solve the challenges facing our environment alone. We build genuine partnerships at every level.
Every project we support is designed to last — for the environment, for the community, and for the future.
Our Journey
A short timeline of the work that has shaped BlueGreen Tanzania Consulting.
2023
Blue Green Tanzania Consult is established with a clear focus on marine conservation, terrestrial conservation, community empowerment, and capacity building.
2022 – 2024
We supported ASUTA in securing and implementing two USAID-funded benthic ecological surveys — mapping over 8,800 seabed grids across Tanzania's northern and southern coast.
2022 – 2025
We coordinated community-based marine resource management activities covering 84 Beach Management Units and training over 750 community members across two seascapes.
2026
We are currently leading the most comprehensive coral reef, seagrass, and seaweed assessment ever conducted in Tanzania, commissioned by The Nature Conservancy and funded by the European Union's €110 million Blue Economy Programme.
